Computer Algebra
In the winter term the lecture Computeralgebra is hold by Professor Ghislain Fourier. The lectue is a elective module for the Bachelor's program in Mathematics.
The aim of the lecture is the study of fundamental algebraic structures. Therefore we will get to know the ring theory and structure theorems for modules. Afterwards we will throw a first glance at the theory of fields and field extensions. In this context we will offer a short introduction into algebraic varieties and we will trate algorithms to determine Gröbnerbases. Finally we will get to know the fundamental elements of group theory and their applications.
The registration for the tutoring class takes place via RWTHonline, be registration you will automatically become part of the learning room in RWTHmoodle where the homework is organized. Also all other important information concerning the lecture will be found there.
